Paint on my fingers




One of the most powerful ideas in marketing is also one of the simplest.

Meet your clients where they are.

Right now, I have yellow acrylic paint on my fingers, and if you’ve heard the podcasts recently, you’ll know why.

I’m researching how artist’s use stories to spark, create and talk about their work.

It’s been completely fascinating… and I’m starting to see the patterns in their language. The way they talk about their work and their business, their desires, needs, fears and ‘jobs to be done’.

The point of this, of course, is to be able to write better copy/tell a better story… if I end up creating a Storytelling for Artists course.

But why the paint?

Because I want to meet them where they are … and that means creating some art of my own. Watch this space.

P.S. Yes, it’s contemporary art… and yes, a typewriter is heavily involved.
